Intro

My name is Kristen, and I am an addict. My addiction: Pinterest, the website where you can bookmark links onto a 'virtual pin board' and choose a picture from that link to represent it when you view the pin board. While some of you may not have heard of it, some of you are in the same boat as me: you can't seem to get enough. If Pinterest suddenly ceased to exist, a part of me would die...I would instantly feel less creative, stylish, culinary chic, and unique. And I seriously doubt I would not be the only one on planet Earth. So, that being said, I feel before I begin I must give a huge thank you to the Pinterest Team for this amazing website. Without y'all, I wouldn't have this obsessive need to hit the 'reload' button. ♥


A little more about me: I grew up in Metro Atlanta, have my BS (no pun intended) in Psychology, worked in film/fashion for a bit, married my boyfriend of 6 years and became a Navy wife, then adopted our Whippet mutt Murphy. I currently live in Southeastern Connecticut, which I NEVER would have imagined until about 3 years ago when that man of mine joined the military. He's now a Second Class Diver and I couldn't be prouder. The move to New England was a huge change for me, I'd hardly met anyone and the area was completely different than what I knew. Enter Pinterest...the connection was instantaneous. 


Here is a little more about me: I am in no way crafty, artsy, creative, well-organized, green-thumbed, or anything of the sort. (I'm not all useless, I can make a mean gallon of sweet tea and have a huge affinity for movie quotes.)  I'm hoping my addiction can help in these areas...if I can only start practicing what I pin. That's where I'm hoping this blog comes in to save the day and light a fire under my tail. I'm also hoping this blog can teach you something, but not in the way you may think. See, if you learn from me, it'll probably be more along the lines of "What Not To Do When You INSERT PROJECT NAME HERE And How To Fix It". And since that name is quite a mouthful, I'll just stick with these are my confessions (and yes, I did hear the Usher song in my head as I typed this).
